12 Major Traffic Violations You Must Know in Korea!
Even if you settle with the victim after an accident,
you can still face criminal charges if your accident involves one of these 12 serious violations.
(As stated in Article 3, Clause 2 of the “Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.”)
The 12 Major Violations:

3️⃣ Speeding more than 20 km/h over the limit

Failing to prevent passenger falls

➡️ Up to 5 years imprisonment or a fine of up to 20 million KRW
